Up cycled - Decoupage Style

Hello, thanks for stopping by today. My DT post for Craft Consortium I have up cycled some China shoes I picked up just before Christmas at a Fundraiser.

I gave them a coat of Gesso and added my Decoupage Papers sealing them with Mod Podge. Once they were dry I have fun adding embellishments from Craft Consortium's vast range.

Here are some photos of my Vintage Styled Shoe.

And photos of my Funky Shoe.

Dream Forever

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am delighted to be sharing some more inspiration from their new Bohemian Collection on my Dream Forever card.

Have you noticed on Cheery Lynn's Stacker Dies you can get Stitched and Pierced details at the edges of these Dies or just left plain. I love all these extra touches of detail and when I looked at the details on my Mandala Doily, Cowboy Boots and Dreamweaver Dies I noticed all the Pierced details so I knew I wanted to use one of the sets of Pierced Stackers. I chose the Coved Rectangles and added an accent from the outer edge of my Mandala Doily at the edges.

My Cowboy Boots were cut out of Kraft Cardstock highlighting all the embossed detail with a Fineliner Pen and a little ink to age them. I layered the swirls and buckles on twice and added a brad onto the boot. Aren't they so cool !

I cut my Mandala Doily out of Kraft Cardstock and paper from Maja Design, layering it on top for contrast. Next I cut out the centre and added my Dreamweaver Die which had also been layered twice. I extended the tassels on my Dreamweaver and hid the joins with my pretty flowers.

I offset the feathers to look as if they are blowing in the wind and added some small feathers  that I pulled out of a feather pillow for added texture.

I finished with lots of pearls and a sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you manage to get some creative time  this week.

A Boho Hello

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration using their amazing new Dies from the Bohemian Collection on my card.

I love this new Hippie Herione, all the added details and size of this die cut make a great impact on any card or scrapbook layout. I cut her out in white card stock colouring her in with Copic Pens and mounted a layer of dark brown cardstock behind her hair for extra shading. I finished her off with feathers, a flower and bling.

My sentiment was layered 3 times with a drop shadow effect, I mounted onto my Pierced Stackers with an accent of my Mandala Doily in White Cardstock.

Adding lots of flowers, leaves and bling to finish my design.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Valentines Day

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today to see my Design Team card with Craft Consortium and today I have used a couple of the pretty papers and an Embossing Folder from the Kori Kumi range.

I embossed my white cardstock with the Hearts Embossing Folder and stitched around the edges for added detail mounting onto my daisy paper with foam strips.

I filled my plant pot with pretty heart flowers and added a drop shadowed sentiment.

Let's Craft and Create - Guest Designer

Hi everyone, I was recently asked if I would like to be a Guest Designer at Let's Craft and Create after winning their challenge with my Lollipop Card and I was delighted to accept this kind invitation.

Their current challenge runs for the next 4 weeks called Love is in the Air, please do check out their talented teams inspiration HERE.

My mum asked me a few weeks ago if I could make her an Engagement card and this tied in perfectly for this theme using a selection of the exquisite papers I had recently been gifted from Maja Design in Sweden.

Lots of photos now to share all the details on my card.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my photos and feel inspired to join in this Current challenge.

Be My Valentine

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I thought I would share some inspiration for Valentines Day using the beautiful intricate Doily called Sophie's Heart as my pretty backdrop to my card.

My flowers are made using the Sweet Williams die strip cutting them out in white cardstock and inking at the edges with Distress Ink. Next I sprayed the petals with a little water and added folds to each petal drying with my heat gun. I added several layers to my flowers finishing with a few pearl stamens.

My flowers were mounted onto my card with a mix of leaves and flourishes for added detail and interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope my card inspires you to make some pretty flowers or a Valentine card for a loved one.
