Tell the Bees

Hi everyone, Craft Consortium has launched a beautiful paper pad called Tell The Bees, it has the most exquisite patterns that I'm sure you will fall in love with. Please do check it out HERE.

I decided to take inspiration from the paper pad and make a honey pot using an old air freshener glass bottle and covering it in twine with a cork placed in the top.

I mounted it onto a card base adding moss and some small Daisies filled with Flowersoft in their centres.

My sign I used from the Kori Kumi range and I added some Crackle Paint for a distressed look adding the sentiment from my paper pad.

Now onto the fun part of fussy cutting out lots of Bees from one of the sheets of paper in the pad and adding them onto my Beehive.

Do check out Craft Consortium to see their vast range of stunning embellishments, paper pads and Decoupage papers on their web page and Facebook for inspiration and regular giveaways, you will also find them on Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram.

Special Moments

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing a card that is a fairly quick design to make using their Stacker Dies should you need a card at short notice.

I started by cutting out my mats and layers in coordinating papers from Maja Design then added a stamped sentiment onto my centre mat using Archival Ink.

My Daisies were shaped on my Embossing mat adding a Pearl into their centres, placing on my card with a few leaves and a heart chain for extra detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all the lovely comments you leave, it is so appreciated and I love reading them.

Hope you have a lovely weekend,

Chalkola Chalk Markers - Sharing 2 cards.

Hi fellow bloggers, I was recently asked if I would like to road test some Marker Pens from a company called Chalkola Chalk Markers, so I had a look at their link and found out these pens were Water Based and water reactive whilst wet. The nibs can also be changed around and could be used on many surfaces including Glass and Plastic, so how could I refuse trying them.

On this card I wanted to see how these pens would react with water in making an arty back background on water colour card. I started by scribbling a selection of colours onto my craft mat and added a spray of water to them.

Although the colour of the pens muted slightly with some water, you could still see the vibrancy from each colour and the lovely chalky finish on the Watercolour card.

Next I added some splashes of colour using my Distress Spritzer Spray I pulled the centre piece out with ease which normally holds the Distress Pens so my Chalkola Marker fitted in with ease. These are so much easier to use for adding the Splatter effect and a great range of colours.

I finished my card with die cut flowers and a sentiment mounting on to black cardstock.

This card I wanted to give my usual shabby style too and see how the markers looked shaded on my Die Cuts. On my card I have used Craft Consortium's Wild Rose Paper Pad and added a selection of Cheery Lynn Dies.

I cut my Leaf Flourish out in White Cardstock and added some of the Green Marker onto my die cut and sprayed with water. I love the shaded marbled effect and chalky finish this gave to my Flourish perfect for Shabby Chic feel.

My flowers I applied the same technique as on the background of my first card adding Diamanté. I didn't have a small pink ribbon so I coloured a white one in the same way I had my flowers running it through my Ink on my craft mat and letting it dry.

I finished off my card with a shabby splattered feel once again using my White Marker and Distress Spritzer Tool.

Thanks so much Chalkola for letting me road test these super pens and I look forward to using them on future crafty projects.

Cheery Lynn Designs-March Blog Hop Featuring IOE Folders and Plates

Hello fellow bloggers, today at Cheery Lynn Designs we are having fun with a blog hop launching some beautiful new Embossing Folders and IOE Plates into the range. You may have watched the video clips and know how these clever folders work Embossing only the area of the folders you want, but if you haven't the link is HERE.

I used Maja Designs Paper from their Summertime range called Wind in my Hair and embossed my Frame It Embossing Folder for my outside edge and then changed to Vintage View Folder to get my embossed areas on my background. I rubbed over with Tattered Rose Distress Ink to highlight the embossed areas and added a touch of Gilding Wax.

I used the centre embossed area of my Vintage View Folder applying the same techniques to highlight the areas mounting on my Thank You Die Cut which I gave a shadow layer too.

Finishing with my Shasta Daisy, a pretty ribbon and lots of Pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'd love if you left a comment before hopping to Lisa's beautiful BLOG.

Please carry on the hop until you end up back at Cheery Lynn Designs. You will see all our inspiration with these folders and be in with a chance to win a shopping spree of $20 at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Happy Mothers Day

Hello everyone, here in the UK we celebrate Mother's Day this month so for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I thought it would be nice to share some inspiration that could easily be adapted into many other occasions by changing the centre sentiment.

Using Craft Consortium's paper pad "Wild Rose" for my card I cut out my Heart Stacker Die and layered on my Stitched Squares which I distressed at the edges to give a material patchwork effect.

Next I layered my Doily onto the centre.

My flowers were cut in White Cardstock and shaded with Distress Inks adding Flower Soft into the centres of one of my favourite smaller flower Dies - Sweet Christine and my Chrysanthemums I added gems to their centres.

My heart I backed onto White Cardstock and kept all the negative cut hearts adding onto my card for extra detail.

Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you have a lovely week with some time to create.

Happy Crafting,

Special Day

Hello everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I have been having fun layering their Stacker Dies to make a frame, adding finishing touches with the gorgeous Daisy Chain Die.

I started by cutting out my large square die along with a smaller square to form my aperture frame. Next I cut out another square frame in yellow cardstock and cut along the pierced edge with my gullotine and inserted behind my frame along with my lace edge that had a little Distress Ink added at the edges. I added foam strips to my frame and placed on my card.

My Blue Tit bird was coloured in with Distress Inks and a Black Fine Liner Pen. For my Daisy Chain I positioned 4 strips around my card and layered my flowers twice, shaping them on my Embossing mat adding pearls to the centres and hiding the joins with a Daisy.

My sentiment and frame were layered up with foam strips and a little cheesecloth and pearls for extra detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all the continued comments left, I love reading them.
