Live, laugh, love

Hi everyone, thanks so much for stopping by. Today for my DT post with Craft Consortium I am sharing some more inspiration using the stunning Tell The Bees collection.

My card measures roughly 6 x 6 inches and I started by stamping my honeycomb stamp and heat embossed with gold tinsel embossing powder. I tattered my layers at the edges and added a little iced spruce distress ink to them and added a couple of fussy cut Bees.

I layered a gold band of glitter card onto my card with a lace overlay and my diecut frame along with my paper people.

My flowers were made using Cheery Lynn's Shasta Daisy die and some Prills in the centres which compliments the flowers on my paper.

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and please do check out Craft Consortium and follow them on Facebook and Instagram for regular inspiration and giveaways.

La Parfumerie

Hi fellow bloggers on my DT card today for Cheery Lynn Designs I'm sharing some vintage inspiration with you.

My Perfume Bottle die I cut out twice in patterned paper, I coloured in my gold elements with a Promarker. For the main body of the bottle I shaped it on my Embossing Mat to give it some dimension and added small dots of Silicone Glue in between the layers, finishing with a small Cameo from my stash.

My main image on my card was stamped using a Crafty Individuals stamp and Archival Ink which I layered on to my card with a touch of lace and pretty vintage styled flowers adding some Flowersoft into the centres.

To add some extra detail onto my card I added stitching around my floral layer, tattering at the edges and inking. I sprayed the paper in the corner and crushed it in a concertina fashion layering a touch of cheesecloth, lace and my small Doily behind.

Making me Smile

Hi everyone, today I am sharing some more inspiration for my DT post with Cherish The Memory, using their exquisite Vintage Line, how  I adore these pretty papers and 3D Decoupage in this line, my card measures approx 6 inches square.

I started by matting and layering my first 2 layers which had been tattered at the edges and some distressed machine stitching added.

My middle layers were matted and layered with touches of cheesecloth using diecuts from my book adding my sentiment and hearts with Silicone Glue finishing with a shabby ribbon and a flower brad to the centre.

My green diecut framed image was also out of my book of die cuts. I layered it onto my Cheery Lynn die adding my butterflies which I curled their wings to give added dimension adding some black gems into their centres and a little black thread for their antennas. My flowers were die cut using a Spellbinders die and my same pink background paper adding Pearls to the centres.

Sneaky Peak for Create and Craft

Hi everyone,  thanks so much for once again stopping by my blog, I so appreciate your visits. Today for my DT post with Craft Consortium I am sharing a sneaky peak of my Lighthouse using the award winning Kori Kumi collection which will be shown on Create and Craft at 2pm on Friday the 26th May.

My Daughter managed to get my Lighthouse for me on my 'Virtual Shopping' trip to Michael's in the US, she FaceTimed me from the store and I went shopping from the comfort of my sitting room....how cool is that !

So I started off by adding some paint onto my Lighthouse and then covered the walls with pretty papers and added die cut windows from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Next I had fun adding lots of embellishments that come in the Kori Kumi Collection and my 3D Decoupage image.

A close up of the top

Finally a picture of the back of my Lighthouse.

Maja Guest Design

Hello everyone, I am super excited and honoured to have been asked to Guest Design for Maja Design today - a dream come true for me.
I do hope you enjoy my 3 projects on this blog post today as much as I have enjoyed creating with their exquisite papers.

As a child I remember my parents had a Photo Cube in the house where family photos took pride of place and with all the beautiful images Maja Design have to offer I was inspired to making one in a shabby chic style. My cube measures approximately 3.75 inches square and was created by gluing beer mats together to form the cube, adding some coffee stirrer sticks at the joins internally to help strengthen my cube. Next I added tissue tape around all my seams and a little blue Distress paint.

My papers were all cut to size and tattered at the edges, I then rubbed some Versamark Ink around the edges and heat embossed my Embossing Powders. I added a pretty lace to the back of my paper and positioned them all in place with foam strips on each side. This helps to give my lace more dimension than lying flush next to the cube.

I tattered my images at the edges and added a little stamping to distress them before matting and layering in place on my cube.

I decorated with lots of small flowers with a Pearl centre and some dried ones.

I fussy cut out lots of butterflies using both the 12 x 12 paper and 6 x 6, gosh I adore these butterflies for a perfect finishing touch.

I added a diecut banner onto the top of my cube with my chipboard sentiment which had been heat embossed with the same colours as the edges of my paper.

My larger flowers were shaded with Distress Inks and Pearl Stamens added into their centres with some smaller butterflies added onto their petals.

I finished off my cube by adding small brass feet from my stash that I added highlights of Gilding Wax.

Finishing of with a few more images of my cube.

This card uses the exquisite papers from the Sofiero Collection. I love the pretty feminine tones and the elegance of the images that compliment any craft project so well. This card measures approximately 5" x 10" and I intend to put it into a frame to keep as my 'Precious Memory' as a Guest Designer here at Maja Design.

I started with tattering the base pink layer of my card with my scissors, this would help frame the soft tones on my design. I gathered lots of little scraps of paper from my Sofiero Collection and cut into approx 1" squares, tattered at the edges and placed onto my card with foam strips. I now added on my torn layer of paper with tattered edges, some stitching and lace for extra detail.

My dressing table mirror was diecut in white cardstock and I stippled on some Gesso for extra texture and once dry I added some Gilding Wax for highlights. You will also notice I replaced the mirror part of my diecut with a oval chipboard which had been painted and gilded in the same way. My beautiful image was glued onto an oval chipboard adding Pearls around the frame, finishing with a flower in her hair and a small Pearl added to her choker for extra detail.

My Ivy chipboard has been painted nestling some small flowers around them and adding a few diecut leaves.

My lilac flowers were created with Distress Inks and adding Pearl centres, my other flowers have all been creating using Maja Papers.

The inspiration for this card which measures 7.5 x 5.5 inches came from the love between a mother and daughter on my image and the beautiful Vintage Romance 12 x 12 paper called Engagement. I knew these would compliment each other so well and I could replicate the pretty flowers from the background paper onto my card.

I started by adding tattered layers, accents of cheesecloth, touches of lace and Frantage for a shabby feel.

My roses were die cut out in coordinating papers and inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, I also added some small flowers with a mini Pearl into their centres.

My floral arrangement was positioned onto my card with leaves which were inked at the edges and a few flourishes for added detail.

I finished with a small double layered heart chain, some dried flowers and a little thread positioned through my bouquet.

Summer Fun Blog Hop - Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone, today we are having a blog hop at Cheery Lynn Designs using a variety of their fun Summer Dies which look great on cards, scrapbooks, home decor and journaling to name a few.

My collaged card today uses a variety of summer Dies listed below to make this fun card that could easily be adapted onto several craft projects.

I love layering the Pine Trees and have also used them on Christmas cards with snow and glitter on them so this is a super Die to have in your collection.

My fish was cut out in White Cardstock and I dripped a few shades of Alcohol Inks onto it including silver to look like scales. Once dry I rubbed over with some black Archival Ink and placed it around my Summer Camp sign.

I added Glossy Accents onto the lens of my Binoculars layering on with some Silicone Glue.

My boat was cut out in Kraft Card and I dry brushed some Gesso on so this would act as a resist as I added some ink.

I'd love if you left a comment before hopping HERE to Lisa's lovely blog for some more Summer inspiration  and good luck at winning a shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Kori Kumi Lollipop Card

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today to see my DT post with Craft Consortium using their award winning collection called Kori Kumi. I decided to make a fun lollipop card with these sweet papers and could just see a little girl having fun carrying this around on a Summers Day.

I started by cutting out my Italian Flourish Doily four times and folded it in a concertina style to form my card. Adding on pretty layers and a 3D Decoupage image of Kori Kumi and making a few flowers using the flower Dies from the collection.

I stamped my sentiment on the back also layering up with the pretty papers and die cut shapes.
