Things with Wings - At AVJ

Hi my blog friends, lovely to have you stop by to see my latest DT post for A Vintage Journey. For the month of July my super talented Teamie Anne has chosen the challenge Things with Wings. Please pop over to the blog HERE to see what the rest of my team mates have been making.

My daughter recently brought me back some MDF shapes from America and with all the excitement of working with them I forgot to take some on going photos OOPS ! The outside of my frame was painted with a mix of Deco Art and Tim Holtz paints and crackles then adding some gilding wax.

My paper was swiped through Distress Stains drying in between each layer.

Using some of Tim's Flourish stamps with Picket Fence Distress paint I then stamped my stained paper.

My inner frame was painted black and some gilding wax added.

My Sizzix Butterfly was cut out in Vellum Twice and run through my embossing folder. I then dripped Alcohol Inks onto it and added a little Distress Stickles to the edges. Finally mounting onto my frame with some jewellery findings.

My little pieces of Vintage Lace were stained with Tattered Rose

My sentiment was stamped with Black Archival ink.

Well I hope I have managed to inspire you to join in this months challenge. The winner will receive  a £20 Shopping Spree at Countryview Crafts where you will find a fab selection of Tim's goodies.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Julie x
