Wishing you Well - Cherish The Memory

Hi fellow bloggers, today for my design team post at Cherish The Memory I am sharing some more inspiration on my Get Well Card for my dear Sister in Law using the ever so pretty Lemoncraft Papers.

I started by inking and tattering layers and accents for my card in a Shabby style.

Adding a wide layer of cotton lace to the centre and more shabby layers of coordinating paper. My sentiment was stamped and trimmed into separate words, adding a butterfly and some bling to finish.

Say it with Flowers

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some more inspiration using another of their beautiful Mega Doilies on my card that measures approximately 8 x 8 inches square.

The Italian Flourish Doily comes in 3 sizes and on this card I have used 2 of them on my layers. Both were cut out in white cardstock and some Distress ink added to the edges. I like to not put glue on the edges of my Doilies, only adding some to the centre. I find this helps to put a little movement into the design and softens the look.

My Daisies have 4 layers on them with a little Distress ink and a Pearl added into the centres. You will notice that two of the layers of petals are folding down the way and two folding up the way, this helps give stability to the flowers.

Happy Birthday was stamped with Archival ink and mounted onto a little cheesecloth and foam strips for extra dimension.

Finishing off with Pearl Strands, Accents of Pearls on my flourishes and a pretty double layered Butterfly.

Craft Consortium's MDF Trinket Box

Hi everyone, today my Design Team project for Craft Consortium uses lots of their products including this super box from the new range of MDF which is great for storage or to display trinkets and artwork in.

I started by adding a generous layer of Mod Podge onto my MDF and added a section from the sheet of Decoupage Paper on top, continuing until all covered. Once dry I sanded all the edges. Next I started to sand over my paper with a circular motion, this started to reveal the ripples from the thick glue layer and gave a weathered look to my box. Finishing with a top coat layer of glue to give a nice finish.

Now I will just let you enjoy all the photos of my box.

Butterfly Wishes - Cherish The Memory

Hi everyone, for my Design Team post at Cherish The Memory I am using the gorgeous Lemoncraft Papers they are now stocking along with a super range of their embellishments and ephemera which I will be giving inspiration with on my cards and projects over the coming months.

On this card I started by tattering strips of paper and inked them at the edges, mounting onto another tattered layer.

I layered on a Cheery Lynn Doily and a fussy cut Doily from the Ephemera Sheet which also included the watch, Butterflies and sweet little girl.

This was all mounted onto my tattered bill from the Ephemera pack, finishing off with a Shabby Ribbon and pretty Die cut flower.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing a vintage Valentines card that could easily be adapted as a Mother’s Day or Birthday card using these Dies.

I tattered a few layers and added some lace onto my torn layer.

Both my Heart Frame and Heart Pop-up have shadow layers on them.

My Cupid is made from a Katy Sue Mould and Paper Clay.

My flowers were cut from white cardstock and shaded with Distress Inks adding Pearls into the centres.

Finishing my card with a White Dove and some Heart Pearls. My XO's and Arrow were shaded with Pro Marker metallic pens.

Love and Cherub

Hi Everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration using one of their fabulous Mega Doilies. These Dies are fantastic for scrapbooking with but look equally as good using as accents on cards for a WOW factor and cut beautifully.

My card today measures approximately 8 x 6 inches and the border strip on my card is just over 2 inches. I mounted the same colour of cardstock to the inside and on my border strip which gives contrast and helps my Doily pop.

I cut into my paper using my heart Die. You can also use the heart border edge die to cut it out of the paper should you wish.

My flowers were shaped on my Embossing mat and shaded with Distress ink. I used small Pom Pom balls in the centres of my flowers which I coloured with Alcohol Ink to get my desired shade.

My sentiment was stamped onto my diecut adding a cherub which I made from a mould and paper clay.

Finishing off my card with lots of Pearl Accents.

MDF Storage Box - Craft Consortium

Hi everyone and thank you for stopping by today to see my post for Craft Consortium using their new MDF range along with a couple of their Decoupage papers.

So let me share some photographs with you.

I fussy cut my birds out of my Decoupage Paper and layered on top of my base paper.

The sides of my box and index cards were all sanded for a neat edge.

I added little name tags onto my index cards and fussy cut butterflies from the Decoupage Paper.

As you can see I lined the inside with Decoupage paper to match the outside of the box.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the pictures and if you click HERE you can check through all the products in their shop.
