Craft Consortium's MDF Launch

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today and apologies for falling so far behind with your lovely blogs but I have not been well at all recently. Craft Consortium recently launched a new collection of MDF products along with glue and brushes to compliment their wonderful range of Decoupage Papers. You may have tuned into Create and Craft last week and noticed them being showcased.

My letter rack has been covered  in the sheets of Vintage Postcards Decoupage paper, gluing in place and adding a top coat of glue. I didn't add Gesso to my MDF before adding the paper as I wanted to keep the muted tones. It also makes great craft storage as well as a letter rack.

Once dry I sanded my edges to give a crisp edge. I also added some gold Embossing Powder around the edges to add a Vintage feel.

I added a layer of felt onto the base.

My butterflies were fussy cut from another Decoupage Paper and glued in place adding Rhinestones into the centres for a finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I do hope I am able to catch up with all your blogs shortly. Also a big thank you to my darling husband who does my photography and putting my blog posts up for me. I really don't know what I would do without his help.

Springtime Birthday

Hi Everyone, this last week in Scotland has been very cold and we have had a lot of snow and frost. Thinking of warmer days I decided to create a Birthday card for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs using one of their latest Pop-Up Dies - Celebrate, along with spring coloured cardstock.

I shadowed layered my word Celebrate 3 times to make it pop and incorporate the colours on my card design and flowers.

My flowers were all cut out in white cardstock and shaded in the centres with some ink. Next I shaped the petals on my Embossing mat and added Flowersoft into the centres. The smaller flowers I bunched a few together in places and added single ones too for extra detail and interest.

Cheery Lynn Pop Up Blog Hop January 2018

Hi everyone, today at Cheery Lynn Designs we are all excited to be launching the first new range of Dies for 2018, a selection of 3D Pop Up Dies.

For my Card Wallet I used 2 of the new designs on my card. There is a fabulous selection of these Dies so why not join in our Blog Hop and you could be in with a chance of winning a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

I started with the inside of my card placing my new Pop Up Dies on an A4 piece of card and cut out on my A4 Die Cutting machine. These Dies also fit on smaller machines but for this design I needed to use my larger machine for it.

Once cut I tattered and inked the edges, adding my corner Die cuts and drop shadowed my sentiment, also adding another layer of coloured card onto my flowers.

Finishing with a tag to write a sentiment on in the inside.

Next I glued onto a layer of patterned paper which had also been tattered and inked at the edges. I added a Ribbon to my card to tie it in place and a selection of diecut flowers were added onto my design.

My 3D pop up card can also be displayed like a normal card as seen in this image.

I have added a few more images.

Lovebirds

Hi Everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration using a selection of their Love themed Dies on my Vintage styled Valentine card.

I started by cutting out my Heart Stackers for the base of my card adding a couple of tattered layers.

My centre heart doily and sentiment were both shadow layered to help them pop against my patterned paper. I also added some cheesecloth behind my Lovebirds image which I coloured with a little Sugar Spun Distress Stain.

My flowers were all shaped with Embossing tools on my mat. I added gems into the centre of two of them and Stickles into the centre of my Baby's Breath flowers.

Cherish Each Passing Moment

Happy New Year to all my Blogger Friends, today for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some Vintage inspiration using a selection of the beautiful Dies they have available.

Using Craft Consortiums Wild Rose paper pad I started by tattering a few layers of my papers and added onto my card with foam strips. I love the intricate details on my diecut frame to which I added some Frantage powders to give an elegant Shabby look to it.

My Flowers have all been built up with 4 layers, shaping with my fingers and adding sparkly gems into the centres, layering onto my flourishes and adding some tiny dried flowers for another detail.

Finishing my card off with a stamped fussy cut ticket, a lace ribbon and an embellishment.
