Baked With Love

Hi everyone, with the Bake Off finally started once again on the TV, I thought it would be fun to make a card for my DT post for Craft Consortium using the pretty Wild Rose paper pad. It has many perfect designs within this pad to give the vintage feel I was after for this style of card. I love how each sheet compliments the others in the pad.

My card measures 8 x 8 and I started by tattering 3 layers at the edges and on my top layer I added some stitching and a few buttons.

I placed a diecut Doily into the centre of my design to help the layers of my patterned coordinating papers pop on my apron. Adding touches of lace, more buttons and kitchen utensils into the pockets.

My card was finished with a stamped friendship sentiment

and oven gloves hanging from her apron.

The Spell Room

Hello everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some more spooky fun in my Spell Room card.

I started by layering onto my paper my black Die Cut frame, this helps to draw the eye into the centre of the card. I die cut out my Old Books adding names onto them, layering onto my card and sitting my cheeky cat on top along with a scary ghoul.

My witches potions I also added names onto the bottles along with a cheeky spider. My witches hat I backed with some purple glitter card and adding colour to the buckle from a gold alcohol pen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Magical Winter

Hi fellow bloggers today for my DT post at Craft Consortium I am sharing some more inspiration using the magical Winter Woodland Paper Pad and the coordinating stamps from the set.

I started by diecutting out a circle in white cardstock. I stamped my deer on as the main image onto the design followed by lots of foliage and mushrooms. I coloured this in with Copic Pens and blended some blue Distress Ink into the background. Next I added a sprinkling of Frantage to give a snowy effect.

I fussy cut my Robin from the papers adding onto the branch.

Finishing my card with a couple of cheeky fussy cut squirrels and red Stickles on the berries.

Winter Woodland Paper Pad will be launching on Create and Craft soon and will initially be exclusive to them. Shortly afterwards it will be available directly from Craft Consortium and craft shops. Just keep an eye on social media for launch date.

Craft Consortium- Winter Woodland New Release

Hi everyone, today for my DT post with Craft Consortium I am so pleased to be finally able to share with you all my first project using the new enchanting Winter Woodland paper pad by Hackney and co. This pad is full of exquisite hand illustrated floral designs and woodland creatures and also has co-ordinating Silicone Stamps and the most gorgeous small metal acorns that are a must for any Christmas project.

When I first browsed through this paper pad I felt transported into a magical Woodland as I oohed and aahed at the papers which also reminded me of a scene from the film Bambi which I watched as a child. I knew then I wanted to replicate my thoughts of this Pad within a mixed media styled book. I decided I wanted my book to look quite plain on the outside so the magic of the Woodland came to life upon opening it.

My book was made by covering chipboard for my covers and the pages were formed in a concertina effect using my Scorpal board and gluing the strips together to form the basis of my book. It also helped for building a 3D dimensional effect.

Inside you can see I used more of the beautiful papers, fussy cutting some of the characters to build my winter scene adding lots of Snowtex, Glamour Dust, Glass Glitter, Stickles and Snowflake Paste.

Touches of Lace from the Always and Forever collection have been used around the inside of my book and the outside binding.

Here is a photo show of my book that Rachael from Craft Consortium kindly made for me sharing a lot more pictures of my book that my Husband had taken.

Hope you enjoy and I'd love to hear your comments.

I'm sure you have also fallen in love with this Winter Woodland Paper Pad and are desperate to get it. It will be launching on Create and Craft soon and will initially be exclusive to them. Shortly afterwards it will be available directly from Craft Consortium and craft shops. Just keep an eye on social media for launch date.

As The Sun Sets

Hi Everyone, today for my DT post with Craft Consortium I am sharing inspiration using the exquisite paper pad called Tell the Bees, filled with such pretty Floral papers, honeycombs, Bees and foiling.

My card today shows three of the papers in this pad, the text, honeycomb and my fussy cut Bees.

I added some pollen to my flowers using Flowersoft which compliments the Bees.

I cut a half circle from the honeycomb paper to look like the sun was setting as the Die Cut children headed to a party.

September Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today at Cheery Lynn Designs we are having a blog Hop to Give Thanks to all our Fans by giving you 15% off all our store wide Dies and Supplies from 15th September through until 22nd September. Do check it out HERE.

My card today has an Autumnal feel to it which could easily be adapted for a Thanksgiving card.

I started by cutting out my curved edged Stacker Die in brown card stock. My next layer I wanted to look like shabby strips of wood so I painted a sheet of cardstock with brown paint and applied a layer of crackle paint. Once dry I added white paint to the top to reveal the crackles and sprinkled on Gold Embossing powder, heat setting in place. I then cut into strips, tattering and inking the edges layering onto my card with foam strips.

My sentiment was stamped onto Kraft card and torn around the edges, applying some ink in Autumnal colours.

My Autumn bouquet you will notice my acorns were cut out in Kraft card. I layered the base part twice and coloured with a dark brown Copic Pen, the nut part I added some Distress crackle paint to it.

My swirls were Heat embossed with a mixture of metallic powders. My leaves were cut out in several shades, inking some with Autumnal colours and adding some Distress powders onto them. The berries were coloured with a few shades of Copic Pens adding Glossy Accents onto them.

I'd love for you to leave a comment, I so enjoy reading them.  Please be sure to leave a comment at Cheery Lynn Designs to also be in with a chance of winning a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Your next stop on the hop is lovely Lisa's blog.

Coffee Gift Card

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some more inspiration with their latest Fall and Winter Dies, I'm just loving this new collection. When I saw the coffee cup Die I thought this would be great to add onto a gift card, so let me show you how I made this.

My card measures approximately 4.75" x 6.25". I started by adding my Stacker layers on to the base along with a accent of glitter glue. Using the Gift Envelope Die I cut it out in patterned paper and placed a stamped sentiment and diecut snowflake onto it.

My coffee cup I added a diecut corrugated strip to the centre and my sweet Gingerbread man which comes in the Gift Envelope Set. This was layered onto my Snowflake Border.

On the inside I added a coordinating Snowflake Border, gluing in place leaving a space free to insert a gift card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to make some cards like this for Gifts.

Beehive and Flowers

Hi fellow crafters, for my DT post at Craft Consortium today I am sharing some more inspiration using the beautiful paper pad called Tell The Bees.

I always love to add lots of layers to my cards tattering them at the edges for detail and interest. On this card you will also notice I added extra detail with Ribbon and Lace from the Always and Forever Collection.

My topper image has been cut from one of the patterned papers and placing some fussy cut Bees onto it.

My flowers I used the same paper on the top side of my card, this helps to bring the design together and coordinates so well.

My Ivy is from chipboard shapes which I gave a coat of Gesso and one dry using the coordinating Tell The Bees stamps I stamped texture onto the leaves with the beehive stamp.

Happy Halloween

Hi fellow crafters, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration with their latest winter release.

I love this Aspen Forest Die as I see so many uses for it including Christmas and Halloween.

My Aspen Forest was cut out white cardstock and inked with Distress Inks, I mounted onto corrugated card which I had also added Ink onto the raised areas. This gives my forest depth.

My trick and treat children were Shadow layered to make them pop.

I mounted my moon onto the twiggy wreath adding my ghouls and drop shadowed sentiment.

Hope you have a lovely week and find some time to craft.
