My First Art Journal Pages

Hi Everyone, Thanks for stopping by today to see my very first Art Journal page. I have pondered over the idea of Art Journalling for several months now, feeling very apprehensive about the whole idea but finally decided to take the plunge.

I only have one ongoing photo as the whole project kept changing and was nearly completely Gesso'd over at another point. I kept going though and am pleased with my results. Whether I will be in another six months as my journal fills up is anyone's guess LOL

I would love if you had time to leave me your honest opinion on my pages to help me improve as I step into the Journey of Art Journalling.

Many Thanks,

  6. OK, Julie...You want a honest opinion. Well here it is: I think this is probably THE MOST BEAUTIFUL journal page(s) I have ever seen!!! So there! The background was soooo stunning, I could not take my eyes off of it...If you don't mind I'll have to make something similar for one of my cards, I'll give you the credit! Gorgeous colors and such a beautiful theme. There are some gorgeous journal pages out there, but majority is kinda dark and more of an abstract art..I like yours, more of a soft side of journaling...

  24. Wow!!!! if this is your first journal page I can't wait to see the rest. So you want an honest opinion.....Stunning, you should be very proud!!!!
And the gesso-ing over the bits.... yyyeeeyyyy we've all done that!!! No worries, thats the whole point. If its not right, just paint over it and start again. Our ideas change from the initial ones we have when we start something. But these pages are fabulous. I love the photos youve used and the background is just gorgeous!!!
