The Happy Couple

Hi Everyone. Today is the start of a new challenge at That Craft Place and its the Mixed Media Team's turn to host the challenge called Anything Goes. My daughter had asked me to make a Card for a friends upcoming Wedding and I thought it would be good to put a mixed media twist on it. Please also stop by the blog HERE to see the fab creations from my Teamies.

I started by spritzing sprays through my Script stencil. Next I added a layer of texture paste through my Flourish stencil and added Pearl embossing powder. Once this was dry I heat set it, followed by stitching around the edges adding in some cheesecloth. Finally stitching on a centre section of gathered lace.

I die cut my swirls and added Pearl embossing powder to them.

My couple were cut out and I inked the edges of my die-cut adding a layer of lace over the bride's dress. If you glue the lace on and let it dry, then place the couple back into the die and run through your machine the lace will be cut perfectly at the edges.

Adding a veil and Flower Soft to the Bride.

The frame and birds were covered with Deco Art white crackle paint. I rubbed a little Spun Sugar DI into the cracks finally adding some gilding wax. My couple's names were computer generated and printed onto vellum.

A lace flower with a little paint and gilding wax added.

My box was made using my Scorpal Board. I repeated the same process as on my card and added onto my box.

My ribbon is a Cheery Lynn die which I cut out in white stamping on swirls adding cheesecloth and a flower covered in DecoArt crackle paint.

Pearl strings added and Pearl heat embossed die cut corners.

I added some seed beads mixed with Transparent Texture Paste .

My sentiment was stamped with Archival ink and my die cuts are Cheery Lynn.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments you have been leaving me on my blog and on Facebook, I appreciate them all so much.
