Vintage Vellum using IOE Plates

Hi Everyone and a warm welcome to my new followers. Today for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing with you some more inspiration using their wonderful new Oval IOE Plates and Frame It Embossing folder. This time I decided to use Vellum Paper to give a faux Parchment look to my design.

For techniques on using these plates please check out their YouTube link HERE.

On the embossed areas of my vellum I highlighted some of these areas with colour using a Copic Pen on the reverse side of my Vellum. I coloured over the area and rubbed to dry the ink immediately with a piece of Kitchen Roll to stop my Vellum curling. This also helps to disguise where my small dots of glue were placed onto the Vellum to mount on my card.

I die cut my frame in cardstock and mounted onto the centre of my embossed area. I then cut a layer in Vellum and curled the swirls on my embossing mat. I added a little glue behind each pearl and behind my cameo on both sides to secure my frame in place and hide the glue on the Vellum.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and for all the lovely comments you leave. The Current Challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is - Back to Nature, hope you get the chance to join in the fun.
