Vintage Style Gift Purses

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by to see my DT Post for Craft Consortium. I thought some Mothers Day inspiration would be nice using the English Garden Paper pad.

I had looked on YouTube at several purse designs and modelled my own on different parts of inspiration from several videos. The main body of my purses use a 12x12 sheet of paper, this design is shown in a few YouTube videos, using the paper square on or at an angle to score. My top closure and handle was designed by myself so my die cut would fit within the style.

My handle was made by threading my pearls from my stash through some metal wire and attaching to the underside with a button so it had a professional finish when opened.

My bags stay closed with a sticky dot on the inside. I adorned both with faux closures using these stunning embellishments from the Always and Forever Collection.....aren't they gorgeous, you can check out the full range HERE.

Many thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check out Craft Consortium to see their full range and on Facebook for inspiration and regular giveaways, you will also find them on Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  13. Hello Julie I am now following your blog. I ended up here in a rather roundabout fashion as I was looking at old challenges on Our Creative Corner in order to enter their new challenge and found your beautiful UT melt pot butterfly canvas. I love butterflies so just had to come on over to your blog and so glad I did. Hugs Mrs A.
