Hi Everyone, Today I am sharing with you a Memory Box for
my DT project for Craft Consortium. My idea behind this was a young couple met each other, fell in love and gathered special memories into their keepsake
box.
First of all I painted all the edges with DecoArt Crackle
Paint, rubbing in some Distress Ink in Milled Lavender when dry and highlighting
with some Gilding Wax. On the inside I tore a co-ordinating Decoupage Paper
from the Bloom Beautiful range and added it onto the base of my box and to the
inside.
Next I measured all the sides of my box and cut out my
paper choice from the Bloom Beautiful Pad. I tattered at the edges with
scissors and stitched with 2 co-ordinating colours of thread in a shabby style,
gluing them all in place onto my box.
The top of my box I fussy cut out birds from the pad and
die cut out my Lacey frame adding on a stamped sentiment. Finishing off with a
couple of metal embellishments, pearls and flowers.
On the inside I painted a couple of frames with Crackle
Paint highlighting with Gold Gilding wax.
Adding a couple of fussy cut birds
onto the frames, mounting my vintage photos into them.
The inside edges of my box were painted with Gesso and
sanded back, stamping on some crackles with Archival ink for a shabby feel.
My sentiment was also fussy cut from the Bloom Beautiful
Paper pad. I added a little stamping around the perimeter and tattered the
edges mounting onto a die cut.
My ticket was stamped and fussy cut out adding a
variety of die cuts for interest.
Finishing off my box with some metal feet, a Cameo at the
opening and an MDF Memories word which I heat Embossed with Silver powder.
Please head over to Craft Consortium on FB and like their
page to see upcoming new products, ideas and free giveaways.
Thanks so much for all your lovely visits to my blog, I
really appreciate it. You may also have noticed Chris my Husband has given my blog a
new look and changed the layout, this way I can now get larger photographs on
to show the detail in my projects, I'm so pleased with the results.
