Just stopping by to say Hello

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by today. For my Design Team post at Craft Consortium I am sharing some more inspiration using the amazing Essential Paper Pads

The pads I have used on this card are Tropical Paradise for my little fussy cut bird and the Grunge Tones pads both in Light and Dark Tones.

I started by matting and layering 2 tattered layers onto my card with foam strips for dimension, keeping the edges white to compliment my die cuts.

I continued to layer up my die cuts with foam strips onto my card and added some Dahlia flowers which were also die cut from my pad for the perfect complimenting tone.

Finishing with my sweet little Tropical bird, a Tonic sentiment strip and some small gems from Craft Consortiums Always and Forever Collection.

Please do check out Craft Consortium and follow them on Facebook and Instagram for regular inspiration and giveaways.

Craft Consortium Essential Paper Pads Launch

Hi everyone, we are all excited at Craft Consortium today to be launching another new 4 paper pads in the Essentials range which will be shown on Create and Craft this morning at 10am, but don’t worry if you miss the show as you can always get it on catch up via Create and Craft's website.

For my Design Team post I am sharing some inspiration using the fabulous Metal Textures papers and with Fathers Day fast approaching I though it would be nice to share a masculine project with them.

As you can see I have coordinated my card and Hamper box together to make a complete gift that sweeties can be placed into.

My card has strips of Metal Textures papers added with foam strips for extra dimension. My image comes from the Vintage Emporium Pad which was launched with the previous collection of Essential pads.

My rusty cogs are also cut from the Metal Textures pad and a little Gilding Wax lightly rubbed over them, mounting onto black card to give depth.

My hamper box was made using a Tonic Studios die which I cut out from a cereal packet for the base and sides and lining with my papers. You will notice I glued a few layers of cereal box to the sides to give extra support to my box so I didn’t need to use the diecut supports. My lid was just cut from the papers.

To finish my box I added metal embellishments which gives the illusion in fooling the eye that the papers are metal. My handle was made by gluing a couple of layers of cereal box together and wrapping with string, gluing in place and finishing with some screw brads on it.

Here is also a peak of the four new pads that have been launched.

This is the Metal Textures Pad.

Here is the Grunge - Dark Tones Pad.

And finally the Grunge - Light Tones Pad.
Which one is your favourite?

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my post, I really do appreciate it.
