Flower Card

Hello everyone, thank you so much for all the wonderful comments I received on the Cheery Lynn Blog Hop day, I enjoyed reading them so much. The current challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is Handmade Flowers so I couldn't resist joining in the fun for my DT card this week using their wonderful new Sunflower set.

I started by die cutting out my Cardmaker die and trimmed to be the perfect size to Matt and layer onto my Kraft Cardstock and card which measures around 6 inches square.

My Sunflower I made in the same way to this card HERE, but this time I just added the leaves onto it. I love the size of this flower as a main focal image on a card.

I would love to see a Hummingbird in real life, they look such beautiful little birds. I die cut mine out twice and shaded with inks, after looking at some photos on Google. I then heat embossed with Clear Embossing powder and went around the edges with a little Gilding Wax, layering up both layers, finishing with a drop of Black Liquid Pearls onto the eye.

My sentiment was stamped onto my banner and I fussy cut a shadow background to make it pop.

If you haven't seen the New North American Release dies please check them out HERE, and don't forget to join in the fun on our BI-Weekly Challenge with a chance of winning a $20 spending spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Crafting.

Hugs,

Julie x

  13. Hi-ya Julie! Forgive my abscense of late, so so much going on with kids and work... I have missed seeing your beautiful creations in detail, unlike on IG. This is STUNING! A perfect design in that you used a rectangular die and made a square card - and it looks as if it were meant to be! The hummingbird is fab, darling! You rocked this!
