Hello everyone, today for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing a new style of card to "me" which I thought was a perfect style
for my idea of a shop window. I had noticed this style of card being sold on
the Craft Channels and thought I could easily makes this, so let me share
with you how I made it.
I started by cutting 2 sheets of cardstock to measure 10
x 6 inches and then scored both sheets at 1.5", 2", 8" and
8.5". Next I glued my 6" square of paper in place on both my
background layer and top layer. Once dry I die cut my aperture out using my
Square Stacker Die, you will also notice I have added the Anastasia Border
around the centre of my aperture and to the sides of my card. I also added
strips of patterned paper onto my sides sections and glued both end panels on each side together.
My stylish ladies and dressmaker stamp from Crafty
Individuals have been fussy cut and
glued onto my card with Silicone Glue.
I also added Die Cut flowers on to the Ladies clothes.
My sewing machine was Heat embossed with Black Frantage,
adding some thread onto the spool and Gold Promarker pen onto the handle and
base.
My corset was cut out in Maja papers, adding touches of
lace and lots of pearls.
My dress I added lots of bling a tiny flower and placed onto my diecut hanger which was cut out in Kraft card adding a touch of Silver
onto the hook.
My tailors dummy was also cut out in Kraft cardstock. I then
layered my dress on with a touch of Silicone Glue behind to hold the curved
shape, adding lace and more tiny flowers.
I finished with touches of cheesecloth, tiny buttons,
scissors and bobbins of thread.
I hope you feel inspired to make a card like this which
folds flat for posting. You could also use different shapes of your Stacker
Dies to create different style aperture windows.
Happy Crafting,
Julie x
