Memories Captured - Craft Consortium

Hi fellow bloggers and thanks for stopping by. Craft Consortium have launched a new range of paper pads called Essential Pads and they certainly are when you see them. I have been playing with two of these pads called Wood Textures and Vintage Emporium which are amazing.

Today I have been using both these pads on my latest 3D project. I have made a couple of these photo cubes in the past, one which has photographs of myself as a child on them which you may remember. They are fun to make and with all the amazing photographs in the Vintage Emporium Pad I knew I just had to make another one.

This one is made slightly different as I bought a pack of 4 wooden drinks mats to form my cube adding a square of chipboard onto the top and bottom. Next I edged all my corners with Washi Tape to help strengthen and give a neat edge. My dark brown papers are from the Woodgrain Textures Pad and were tattered at the edges and some brown ink added to them and glued in place all around my cube.

My newspaper styled paper and photographs are all in the Vintage Emporium Pad. I built Matt and layers onto my photographs using my Wood Textures Pad, tattering and inking the edges. These were then layered onto cheesecloth and doilies to add more vintage touches.

Finishing with lots of pearls, inked flowers, butterflies and embellishments from the Always and Forever Collection.
