Just for You

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your wonderful comments during our blog hop at Cheery Lynn and here on my blog, I so enjoyed reading them. Unfortunately I am struggling to catch up with all your blogs as I am down with a flu virus just now, but hope to catch up soon.

Today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am showcasing the new - Just For You die.

I started by using White Cardstock along with my IOE plates and Embossing folder to make my background. I inked my card with Milled Lavender to highlight the embossed areas, tattered the edges of my card and added a sprinkle of Frantage for a shabby feel.

My Just For You was heat set with Milled Lavender Distress Powder and layered onto my Oval and mounted onto my Quadrafoil Doily with a little cheesecloth for extra detail.

My flowers and leaves are all cut out in White Cardstock. I shaded my Dandelions with Bundled Sage Distress ink at the stems and added Milled Lavender Distress Glitter onto the flowers. The centre of my Chrysanthemums is Micro Beads and a little Distress Glitter into the centre of my Sweet Christine flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and good luck to everyone entering the Weekly Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Have a lovely weekend.

Happy Crafting,

Vintage Vellum using IOE Plates

Hi Everyone and a warm welcome to my new followers. Today for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing with you some more inspiration using their wonderful new Oval IOE Plates and Frame It Embossing folder. This time I decided to use Vellum Paper to give a faux Parchment look to my design.

For techniques on using these plates please check out their YouTube link HERE.

On the embossed areas of my vellum I highlighted some of these areas with colour using a Copic Pen on the reverse side of my Vellum. I coloured over the area and rubbed to dry the ink immediately with a piece of Kitchen Roll to stop my Vellum curling. This also helps to disguise where my small dots of glue were placed onto the Vellum to mount on my card.

I die cut my frame in cardstock and mounted onto the centre of my embossed area. I then cut a layer in Vellum and curled the swirls on my embossing mat. I added a little glue behind each pearl and behind my cameo on both sides to secure my frame in place and hide the glue on the Vellum.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and for all the lovely comments you leave. The Current Challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is - Back to Nature, hope you get the chance to join in the fun.

Cheery Lynn Designs Blog Hop introducing IOE Plates

Hello there and welcome to our latest blog hop at Cheery Lynn Designs. We are all excited to be showcasing with you the new IOE Plates, where you decide what part of your embossing folder you want to emboss. You can also mix and match your embossing folders to make endless designs. All the info is HERE and clearly explained on a video link about these amazing plates.

I am first on the blog hop, so at the end of my post please just click on Lisa's name to carry on hopping.

It was the Spring Equinox here in the UK at the weekend so I thought it would be nice to share a Vintage Springtime Card.

My Pocket Watch I coloured with Copic Pens and mounted onto my Angel Wing which had been given three layers of Pearlised Embossing Powder. Once glued in place I reheated my Embossing Powder to give the illusion of my numbers being set into the Pearl background similar to on a watch.

Finishing off my card with a sweet little Bunny and his cotton tail.

I'd love if you leave me a comment to let me know you have stopped by on our BLOG HOP and be sure to head over to your next stop LISA, to see her amazing card.

Hope you get the chance to follow through to the end of this hop where you will see how versatile these IOE Plates are as you see my Teamies beautiful cards. Leaving a final comment at Cheery Lynn Designs Blog for a chance to win a gift certificate for $20 to spend in their shop. Good Luck.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Happy Crafting to all,

Julie x
