Love and Cherub

Hi Everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration using one of their fabulous Mega Doilies. These Dies are fantastic for scrapbooking with but look equally as good using as accents on cards for a WOW factor and cut beautifully.

My card today measures approximately 8 x 6 inches and the border strip on my card is just over 2 inches. I mounted the same colour of cardstock to the inside and on my border strip which gives contrast and helps my Doily pop.

I cut into my paper using my heart Die. You can also use the heart border edge die to cut it out of the paper should you wish.

My flowers were shaped on my Embossing mat and shaded with Distress ink. I used small Pom Pom balls in the centres of my flowers which I coloured with Alcohol Ink to get my desired shade.

My sentiment was stamped onto my diecut adding a cherub which I made from a mould and paper clay.

Finishing off my card with lots of Pearl Accents.

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to my blog. Today at Cheery Lynn Designs we are having a Blog Hop sharing inspiration with lots of the beautiful flower Dies available at Cheery Lynn. Please be sure to leave a comment as you arrive back at Cheery Lynn Designs to be in with a chance of winning a $20 shopping Spree which is amazing especially with their end of year sale on, or why not join our new rewards program.

My card today has lots of Shabby layers on it using Craft Consortiums beautiful Wild Rose paper pad. I love this pad for making my flowers as they look so pretty with all the shades.

I used strips of my Japanese Lace Garden Frame to add a lace border on my layers. My butterflies have tiny flowers added into the centres of them.

My Chrysanthemum's have been off set at different angles and some added in bud form for a natural look. My Sweet Christine I have used 4 layers to build them up adding Gems into their centres, also adding a mix of different leaves.

My sentiment was stamped with Archival ink and layered onto my tattered Die Cut layers with foam strips for extra dimension, adding another couple of tiny flowers for more detail.

Dreams

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing inspiration using one of their beautiful Cardmaker Dies. These Dies are amazing at forming the background to your card and give a lovely elegant touch.

I started by cutting out my Cardmaker Die and heat Embossing some Stampendous Shabby Blue onto the edges and layering onto my patterned paper.

My centre sentiment was stamped and some Embossing powder added to the edges to help frame it. Next I mounted onto my frame with foam strips.

My bird was shaded with Distress Inks and a Fineliner pen, nesting it along side my foliage and Daisies.

My large Shasta Daisies were shaded with ink and shaped on my Embossing mat. I added a small foam ball to the centres along with a layer of glue and Flower soft into the centres.

Cheery Lynn Designs-March Blog Hop Featuring IOE Folders and Plates

Hello fellow bloggers, today at Cheery Lynn Designs we are having fun with a blog hop launching some beautiful new Embossing Folders and IOE Plates into the range. You may have watched the video clips and know how these clever folders work Embossing only the area of the folders you want, but if you haven't the link is HERE.

I used Maja Designs Paper from their Summertime range called Wind in my Hair and embossed my Frame It Embossing Folder for my outside edge and then changed to Vintage View Folder to get my embossed areas on my background. I rubbed over with Tattered Rose Distress Ink to highlight the embossed areas and added a touch of Gilding Wax.

I used the centre embossed area of my Vintage View Folder applying the same techniques to highlight the areas mounting on my Thank You Die Cut which I gave a shadow layer too.

Finishing with my Shasta Daisy, a pretty ribbon and lots of Pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'd love if you left a comment before hopping to Lisa's beautiful BLOG.

Please carry on the hop until you end up back at Cheery Lynn Designs. You will see all our inspiration with these folders and be in with a chance to win a shopping spree of $20 at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Vintage Kisses

Hi everyone, the challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs at present is Lots of Layers and I thought it would be fun to join in with some inspiration for my DT card this week using the new Lords and Commons A2 die Facer set.
I decided to use my die set for an Easel styled card, using negative parts of the die and some of the corner shapes as well as the Facer.

You will see I tattered all my layers as I started to layer adding some stitching to the top layer, along with some Frantage and the little hearts that fall out of the negative space of the die, topping with a Pearl.

My flowers were inked in the centre along with some Flowersoft. My leaves I scattered some Frantage onto them.

I used the corner accent that comes in the Facer set and my Tiny Doily to add some more detail and layered behind my stacker frames at the image.

My flower to hold the Easel in place was mounted onto my Lords and Commons tiny Doily.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and I hope you have a lovely creative weekend. Look forward to seeing you in the Cheery Lynn Designs  Bi - Weekly Challenge.

Just for You

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your wonderful comments during our blog hop at Cheery Lynn and here on my blog, I so enjoyed reading them. Unfortunately I am struggling to catch up with all your blogs as I am down with a flu virus just now, but hope to catch up soon.

Today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am showcasing the new - Just For You die.

I started by using White Cardstock along with my IOE plates and Embossing folder to make my background. I inked my card with Milled Lavender to highlight the embossed areas, tattered the edges of my card and added a sprinkle of Frantage for a shabby feel.

My Just For You was heat set with Milled Lavender Distress Powder and layered onto my Oval and mounted onto my Quadrafoil Doily with a little cheesecloth for extra detail.

My flowers and leaves are all cut out in White Cardstock. I shaded my Dandelions with Bundled Sage Distress ink at the stems and added Milled Lavender Distress Glitter onto the flowers. The centre of my Chrysanthemums is Micro Beads and a little Distress Glitter into the centre of my Sweet Christine flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and good luck to everyone entering the Weekly Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Have a lovely weekend.

Happy Crafting,

Create Flowers

Hi Everyone, now that the Christmas season is over I thought it would be nice to make a card filled with summery flowers for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs.

My card has lots of layers, tattering at the edges, adding Frantage Powders and tucking in doily accents. My inverted scalloped edge was made using a piece of waste paper and cutting out a scalloped square.

My Watering Can was painted with Pewter Distress Paint and adding some Archival Ink for shading. I then added a little Grass to the base and on the top of the Watering Can I shaded with a Pale Blue pen and added Glossy Accents for a watery look.

I cut out 2 of my Leafy Flourishes, placing one on my card, the other I cut into sections and placed into my design with my Flowers which have Flower Soft added to their centres.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Summer Garden

Hi Everyone, Isn't it lovely the summer flowers are starting to bloom and I thought this week I would bring part of my garden onto my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs. Today my post is scheduled as we are off for a summer break, hence why I may be a little quieter in Blogland over the next ten days or so depending on internet connection.

I started by layering my Flourish onto my card as a background accent and added my Pocket Watch with silicone glue.

My leaves were cut out in green card stock and shaded with distress ink, rolling my edges and layering on with Silicone to give a natural look to my leaves. My Flowers were coloured with Copics and a little Flower Soft added to the centres.

We have a Baby Blue Tit which frequents our garden regularly and I just had to include him on my card. I shaded him with Distress inks and used a Fineliner to hi light the black.

Adding Stickles, bling and a stamped sentiment which was fussy cut to finish.

Thanks for stopping by to see my post today.
