Springtime Birthday

Hi Everyone, this last week in Scotland has been very cold and we have had a lot of snow and frost. Thinking of warmer days I decided to create a Birthday card for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs using one of their latest Pop-Up Dies - Celebrate, along with spring coloured cardstock.

I shadowed layered my word Celebrate 3 times to make it pop and incorporate the colours on my card design and flowers.

My flowers were all cut out in white cardstock and shaded in the centres with some ink. Next I shaped the petals on my Embossing mat and added Flowersoft into the centres. The smaller flowers I bunched a few together in places and added single ones too for extra detail and interest.

Joy to the World

Hi everyone and welcome to my DT post for Cheery Lynn Designs. Gosh I can't believe how fast we are now approaching the end of the year and it will soon be Thanksgiving Day for all our American friends. So today my card is inspired by this celebration.

I started by distressing my 2 layers of Maja Design papers at the edges and layered onto my card. I cut out my wreath in 3 shades of paper from the same pad, cutting 2 of my wreaths so they would stretch out a little larger than the base one. The cut was hidden by my drop shadowed reindeer.

My large sunflower was coloured with Copic Pens and Micro Beads added into the centre. The smaller sunflowers I added Flowersoft into the centres and also touches onto the wreath. My berries were coloured with Copic and 2 layers of Glossy accents added letting them dry between coats. Finishing with arranging my bouquet onto my card.

Dreams

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing inspiration using one of their beautiful Cardmaker Dies. These Dies are amazing at forming the background to your card and give a lovely elegant touch.

I started by cutting out my Cardmaker Die and heat Embossing some Stampendous Shabby Blue onto the edges and layering onto my patterned paper.

My centre sentiment was stamped and some Embossing powder added to the edges to help frame it. Next I mounted onto my frame with foam strips.

My bird was shaded with Distress Inks and a Fineliner pen, nesting it along side my foliage and Daisies.

My large Shasta Daisies were shaded with ink and shaped on my Embossing mat. I added a small foam ball to the centres along with a layer of glue and Flower soft into the centres.

Always Remember

Hi everyone, today my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs showcases some of the beautiful flowers available from Cheery Lynn.

My card has been made using papers from Maja Design starting by cutting and tattering the edges of my base layer which measures approximately 6 inches square, I then layered my stamped sentiment placing it behind my die cut frame with a lace Border.

My flowers have a variety of centres, my large flowers have been inked at the edges and my die cut centre added which is formed by rolling the die cut around tweezers and gluing in place.

Once dry you simply fan out the rolled die cut add a little Ink for definition and glue in place.

My smaller blue flowers have a blob of Glossy Accents in the centre and Micro Beads poured on top with a sprinkling of Glamour Dust for added Sparkle. Finishing my card off with a spritz of white from my Chalk Markers.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you feel inspired to make some flowers.

La Parfumerie

Hi fellow bloggers on my DT card today for Cheery Lynn Designs I'm sharing some vintage inspiration with you.

My Perfume Bottle die I cut out twice in patterned paper, I coloured in my gold elements with a Promarker. For the main body of the bottle I shaped it on my Embossing Mat to give it some dimension and added small dots of Silicone Glue in between the layers, finishing with a small Cameo from my stash.

My main image on my card was stamped using a Crafty Individuals stamp and Archival Ink which I layered on to my card with a touch of lace and pretty vintage styled flowers adding some Flowersoft into the centres.

To add some extra detail onto my card I added stitching around my floral layer, tattering at the edges and inking. I sprayed the paper in the corner and crushed it in a concertina fashion layering a touch of cheesecloth, lace and my small Doily behind.

Dream Forever

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am delighted to be sharing some more inspiration from their new Bohemian Collection on my Dream Forever card.

Have you noticed on Cheery Lynn's Stacker Dies you can get Stitched and Pierced details at the edges of these Dies or just left plain. I love all these extra touches of detail and when I looked at the details on my Mandala Doily, Cowboy Boots and Dreamweaver Dies I noticed all the Pierced details so I knew I wanted to use one of the sets of Pierced Stackers. I chose the Coved Rectangles and added an accent from the outer edge of my Mandala Doily at the edges.

My Cowboy Boots were cut out of Kraft Cardstock highlighting all the embossed detail with a Fineliner Pen and a little ink to age them. I layered the swirls and buckles on twice and added a brad onto the boot. Aren't they so cool !

I cut my Mandala Doily out of Kraft Cardstock and paper from Maja Design, layering it on top for contrast. Next I cut out the centre and added my Dreamweaver Die which had also been layered twice. I extended the tassels on my Dreamweaver and hid the joins with my pretty flowers.

I offset the feathers to look as if they are blowing in the wind and added some small feathers  that I pulled out of a feather pillow for added texture.

I finished with lots of pearls and a sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you manage to get some creative time  this week.

Be Mine

Hi Everyone, today for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration for Valentines Day using a couple of the new dies from their latest release.

I started off by matting and layering my stacker layers onto my card  and then I added my border to the top and bottom of my card.  I paper pieced my flourish into place to make it larger for this design, hiding the join with a flower. My flowers were cut out of patterned cardstock and some Flowersoft added to the centres.

I just adore this new Film Set, you get 2 different sizes in the pack. I cut mine out in Black cardstock and then positioned the same die over my image, this way it would nest perfectly into my Photo Frame.

My Teddy was cut out in White cardstock, shading with Distress ink. I layered patterned and black cardstock behind the accents. My heart and his arms were layered on twice for extra dimension. I also placed a little bend into the cardstock at his ears and feet. Finishing off with a little bling.

Thanks for stopping by today and I do hope to see you joining in Cheery Lynn's latest Bi-Weekly challenge which currently is Tickled Pink.

Pretty Bows

Hi Everyone, today I am sharing with you my latest vintage style DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs .

This photo shows you the start of my layers. You will see I have shaded the edges with Distress Ink and used my Distress tool around the edges of my card for a shabby look.

My Butterfly I used embossing powders on and added a little button onto the centre.

My bow once die cut out I tattered the edges with my Distress Tool adding a little ink to the edges.

My flowers were all shaded with Distress Inks and shaped using my embossing mat, adding little buttons into the centres.

Summer Garden

Hi Everyone, Isn't it lovely the summer flowers are starting to bloom and I thought this week I would bring part of my garden onto my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs. Today my post is scheduled as we are off for a summer break, hence why I may be a little quieter in Blogland over the next ten days or so depending on internet connection.

I started by layering my Flourish onto my card as a background accent and added my Pocket Watch with silicone glue.

My leaves were cut out in green card stock and shaded with distress ink, rolling my edges and layering on with Silicone to give a natural look to my leaves. My Flowers were coloured with Copics and a little Flower Soft added to the centres.

We have a Baby Blue Tit which frequents our garden regularly and I just had to include him on my card. I shaded him with Distress inks and used a Fineliner to hi light the black.

Adding Stickles, bling and a stamped sentiment which was fussy cut to finish.

Thanks for stopping by to see my post today.

Fathers Day Card

Hi Everyone, a week on Sunday marks the Celebration of Fathers Day in both the UK and USA, so I thought it would be nice to share my DT card for Cheery Lynn Designs this week. My Dad loves being out in his garden and his cat is not usually far away from him, so I decided to create this little scene on my card.

I started off by using the Brick Embossing Plate and some Beige card stock. Once embossed I dry brushed Gesso onto my bricks to highlight them.

Next mounting onto Green Cardstock and stitching around the edges for detail.

My garden fence was shaded with a little Distress ink to shabby it up and a couple of layers of grass added.

My watering can I added a little gilding wax to highlight it. My flowers, leaves and dragonfly were shaded with Copics.

My sunflower was shaded also with Copics and I made the word Dad from my words Day and And as I have still to get the Cheery Lynn die - Dad.

Thanks for stopping by today and for the lovely comments you leave, I love to read them all. See you all soon.
