Merry Christmas Shaker Gift Bag

Hi everyone, today for ny DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some Christmas inspiration using their wonderful Shaker Dies on a gift bag measuring 8" x 10" approx excluding the handles, which I have decorated. So let me take you through the techniques on my die cuts.

I used the Lattice Valance Border at the sides of my bag gluing onto a red strip of card and then mounting onto my cream cardstock, finishing with a border of Red Stickles.

I started my centrepiece by cutting my large Snowflake in half and accenting behind my stacker layer. My Shaker Bells were heat Embossed with an Antique Copper, rubbing a little black Archival ink at the edges to age them. I filled one with Shaker Confetti listed below, small beads and Micro beads, mounting the other to the side as an accent of bells ringing.

My Poinsettia's were cut out in cream cardstock inking at the edges and adding a mix of Micro beads to the centres. My Robin was shaded with Distress ink and black Liquid Pearls added for his eye.

I added a lot of foliage onto my design and finished off with some Liquid Snow and Glass Glitter for a frosty look that glistens so lovely when it catches the light.

My Merry Christmas was heat embossed with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder for more sparkle. Finishing my bag off with a pretty bow and an accent of lace.

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am showcasing some of their fabulous Christmas dies on my Festive Vintage styled card.

I started by layering up several of my stacker dies with foam strips between some layers and glued flat on others. My gold edging was created by rubbing my die cut on my Versamark ink pad and heat setting Gold Embossing Powder.

My Holly Flourish and Sentiment were also heat embossed, adding some red bling to look like berries. I love the size of this sentiment as it makes a great feature on your card.

My Poinsettia's were cut out in cream cardstock inking at the edges and adding Gold Flowersoft to the centres. I mounted onto my card with some foliage.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to start making your Christmas Cards. Good luck to everyone entering the Bi-Weekly Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Brr It's Cold Outside

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your fantastic comments on my previous two posts, it's so much appreciated and does wonders for my creativity. This week the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is to use texture on your card, so for my DT card I injected lots of textures in to this card.

I used the brick plate and ran some co-ordinations paper through my die cutting machine and then sanded it back to reveal the coloured core. Next I die cut this piece of paper and sprayed some glue onto it and added extra fine glitter for a frosty feel.

My tree I layered up and sprayed with some gold mica spray and dried with my heat gun. This helps to curl the paper and gives it a firmer feel. I added Flower-soft snow, glitter, red stickles, my little birds and snowflakes all to give a winter feel. The Tree comes with some wonderful decorations dies also and you can see it decorated here on one of my previous cards.

My window I wanted a frosty feel to, so I added some icicles....I adore this die. They we're die cut in white card with a little distress added to the points of them, I then sprayed glue and added glitter too them and placed onto my window frame with a little snow. I also made some curtains for behind my window using my Cuties strip die.

My wording I layered up twice for a shadow effect. I wish you could see all the sparkle on this card but the camera has unfortunately only picked up a bit of it.
