Hi Everyone, today I am excited to be sharing this 25th
Wedding Anniversary bag for my DT post with Craft Consortium using lots of
their amazing new craft goodies, which have been recently released. Let me take you through the stages.
This is what the bag looked to start with.
I started by tearing sections of my Decoupage Paper and
crushed the sections, unravelling and gluing in place. Once dry I rubbed over
the raised silver areas and sides with Archival ink and heat set. This gives a great aged effect
to the paper.
Here is a close up of the finished effect which I rubbed a little gold gilding wax over.
Next I started to work on my front and back sections. I tattered the edges of my patterned paper and rubbed over lightly with my Embossing Ink Pad and heat set Silver Embossing powder in place.
My die cuts were also heat embossed with silver and lots of sparkly gems added.
My flower centre was made using a Diamante Round Buckle which has a bar to thread ribbon through. I glued onto my flower and hid the bar by adding micro beads into the centre, I love the look this has given my flower.
The handles of my bag I folded my ribbon around and stitched in place with a running stitch, gathering it to give a puckered effect.
I made my bow and finished off the ends by running the
flame of a match over them. This seals them to stop them fraying. Please be
careful doing it ! Finally I stitched my bow in place.
My ribbon and stunning Heart Cluster embellishment I held in place with
a few stitches as I didn't want glue bleeding through the Satin Ribbon.
