It’s Snome Time

Hi everyone, we are all very excited at Craft Consortium to be launching a stunning new collection by the super talented Helz Cuppleditch called It's Snome Time. You will be able to see this collection on Create and Craft TV on Wednesday 21st August at 4pm UK time and also catch up on this programme on Create and Craft's website if you miss it. As for stockist you can purchase from Create and Craft, Craft Consortium and most leading craft  shops.

This colourful collection comes with a 12x12 paper pad, stamps, 3D Decoupage, metal charms and gorgeous colourful pearls and all compliment each other so well when creating.

Here is my 8 x 8 card I have made using a selection of the 3D Decoupage characters to create my scene, aren’t they so cute.

Enjoy the photos.

My matching Gift Card Box was made using the scraps of paper left from my card and the Topper from my Decoupage sheets. I made this on my Scorpal Board so it fitted my card perfectly.

My crackers have been made with the beautiful selection of papers in the pad and the help of my Tonic Studios Cracker Die.

I have had so much fun creating cards, 3D projects and home decor with this pad and look forward to sharing them all with you.

Oh Christmas Tree - Craft Consortium

Hi everyone, today for my DT post at Craft Consortium I have been playing with another of their newly launched MDF products.

I started by adding a layer of Embossing paste through a stencil onto all sides of my tree and once dry added a couple of layers of Acrylic paint. I then highlighted my stencilling and the edges of the tree with some Gilding Wax and finished with lots of red berries using Nuvo Drops.

On my base I added a layer of Decoupage paper and some Mod Podge Sparkle onto my top Layer. I added small felt circles into my Candle bases and some Glitter Ribbon around the edges.

I finished by adding a floral arrangement and lots of sparkly snowflakes with Rhinestones in the centres.

Ahh Tissue ! Craft Consortium

Hi Everyone, today for my DT post at Craft Consortium I am sharing inspiration with one of their gorgeous Decoupage papers. They have so many in their range that suits every taste and styles for our crafting.

I purchased a chipboard tissue box from Hobbycraft and began altering it. First I gave my box a coat of white Gesso and once dry I started gluing on torn sections of Decoupage paper with Mod Podge Matt, adding a final coat of Mod Podge to seal the paper.

I always decorate my projects all the way round and on the inside, I think this gives a more professional finish and fools the eye into not believing it's started as Card.

I added small metal feet and a pretty paper from the Gypsy Gypsy pad to the base.

On the front I fussy cut out butterflies also from the Gypsy Gypsy pad and double layered them adding a drop of Silicone Glue behind the wings to help keep their shape.

My lid has a selection of embellishments from the Always and Forever collection for the perfect finishing touches.

Finally adding a box of tissues inside.

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments and please do check out Craft Consortium and follow them on Facebook and Instagram for regular inspiration and giveaways.

Perfume Bottle Tutorial - Cherish The Memory

Hi everyone, Today I am sharing a tutorial on how I have upcycled a glass air freshener bottle for my post with Cherish The Memory.

I started by giving my bottle a coat of Gesso, this helps to give the glue something to grip onto and shows the colour of the Decoupage papers off better than it going onto a clear surface.

I tore my beautiful shabby look Decoupage Paper into small pieces and glued in place on my bottle.

Once dry I added a fairly thick layer of Crackle Glaze being careful not to have drips. This took a couple of hours to dry thoroughly.

Once dry I coated it in Antiquing Cream, letting this dry for a few minutes before rubbing back with an old cloth to reveal the crackles.

I then sealed my bottle with a couple of coats of Gloss Varnish.

I love how it now looks like crazed porcelain.

I added my pretty Gemstone Tape to the neck of the bottle. Cherish The Memory stock several styles of this tape in a selection of Gems and Pearls and is the perfect finishing touch.

I added some Copper Embossing Powder to the base of my bottle. My Crafty Individuals perfume stamp was stamped in Archival Ink adding some Embossing Powder around the edges and shading my card with Tattered Rose ink.

I mounted this onto a little cheesecloth, glued in place adding a couple of butterflies to finish.

Mirror Mirror

Hi everyone, for my DT post with Craft Consortium I have used the exquisite paper pad Bloom Beautiful. Some of you will be aware I adore this paper pad but for anyone that is new to this paper pad please check it out HERE.

I decided on an easel card for this design and fussy cut out my bird, feather and rose decoupaging back onto the cardstock with Silicone Glue.

My perfume bottles were stamped and fussy cut adding a layer of Glossy Accents for a glass look.

I layered satin ribbon behind my lace ribbon to make it pop and another strip of satin ribbon on top of my doilies with a stunning embellishment from the Always and Forever collection.

Happy Halloween

Hi fellow bloggers, thanks so much for stopping by today to see my DT post for Craft Consortium. My card today showcases this super Decoupage Paper called Distressed Wood and I thought it was the perfect background for my Halloween card.

I love the versatility of the decoupage papers and on my card I mounted my Decoupage paper onto cardstock with Mod Podge , tattered at the edges and added some purple Distress ink.

My spikey flowers were made using the Kori Kumi Die Cut Flowers and adding some of the leaf ribbons.
