Forever Friends

Hi Everyone, this week for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs I thought I would showcase the versatility of their Stacker dies and how by turning them round and cutting in to the die cut shapes with another stacker you are able to achieve lots of different shapes.

You will see on these photos how I cut out my shapes and inserted in to each other for my base layer.

This photo shows my next layers and how I turned the same stacker as on the first layer around 90 degrees to give a different look.

My Butterfly was heat embossed and a pearl added.

My roses were cut out in White Cardstock and shaded with 2 colours of Distress Ink.

My words were double layered for a shadow effect and the "S" was taken from my word set Happy Christmas. Finally adding some pearls, Stickles and a Leaf Flourish to finish.

Thanks for stopping by today and for all the lovely comments that you leave.

With Kisses

Hi Everyone,  Cheery Lynn Designs do the most wonderful Butterfly dies in many different styles and sizes with Angel wings for perfect layering. So for my DT card this week I thought it would be nice to show you all how they can hold centre stage on a card for a wow factor.

I started by matting and layering my stacker dies to give a detailed border with contrasting colours and adding some Copper Stickles around the edge of my centre mat.

My Doily was cut out in Cream Cardstock and shaded with Distress ink, matting onto my Pierced stackers along with my Lords and Commons Super Doily. My Butterfly was heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and layered onto my Angel Wing Die, finishing off with a few pearls and a Sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Thank You Gift Card

Hi Everyone, thanks for your continued support with comments especially with me running behind with all your lovely blogs. Today, I am delighted to be sharing my post as a Guest Designer at Craft Hoarders Anonymous after my win with my Cherub Keepsake Box here.
The challenge is 'For all that you do,Thank you'. It describes to make a Thank you gift for this challenge, a hostess gift or a simple thank you card.

My mum asked me around the same time to make a Thank you card for her friend she had stayed with recently in Finland. She explained to me she adored the vintage style, lace, pearls and a very ornate look. I decided to make an easel card and inside the little gift box I placed some Post - it notes. This way she could have it on display and always know where to get a bit paper if needed.

My image is from Pion and my papers are all Maja.

My box I made using my Scorpal board. Sorry I can't show you inside, I realised I didn't have this photo and it is now in Finland.

My die cuts are all Cheery Lynn and the lace is from my craft stash.

Please pop over to Craft Hoarders Anonymous to see the talented Design Team's post of inspiration for this challenge which started last week and you will also see a variety of Guest Designers posting at the same time as myself. Good luck to everyone entering their challenge.

New Release at Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi Everyone. Today is a very exciting day over at CheeryLynn Designs as their latest release of dies are showcased. They have many new wonderful Themed Dies and an amazing new collection of Doily Dies in squares, circles and rectangles called their Diamond Doily collection. These dies are going to become a staple in many of our collections of dies. There versatility to mix and match with stacker dies, we will now all have a lot more possibilities of different designs and patterns.

For my card I used 3 of the New Release dies on this card. The centre of the doilies comes out and is able to be placed anywhere on a piece of paper or in to a decorative stacker frame. You will notice in the background that I cut using the centre part of my doily on all four corners and layered dark card behind to make it pop. I thought I had taken a photo of this stage but I think with the excitement on using these new dies I forgot, but will take one the next time I do this technique, so it becomes clearer.

I did the same technique on my fishtail banner with the Alpine Flourish Doilies centre. I also mixed and match my doily layers for different designs.

Bling, Butterflies and a Flower were all placed on my card to finish. Please pop over to the blog here to see all the other cards made from our Talented Team at Cheery Lynn Designs.
