Hello Friend

Hi everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration on my friendship card using their super vintage Rotary Phone Die.

Using Maja Design papers I started by tattering my base layers and adding on Hello Friend.

My Rotary Phone was cut out in Black cardstock and Gold Glitter card, paper piecing my sections together and adding a large gem into the centre of the dial. I glued in place with some Silicone Glue onto my tattered layer and Doily.

My flowers were all inked in the centres with Archival ink adding Stamens into the centres, placing the arrangement onto my card.

Lovebirds

Hi Everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some inspiration using a selection of their Love themed Dies on my Vintage styled Valentine card.

I started by cutting out my Heart Stackers for the base of my card adding a couple of tattered layers.

My centre heart doily and sentiment were both shadow layered to help them pop against my patterned paper. I also added some cheesecloth behind my Lovebirds image which I coloured with a little Sugar Spun Distress Stain.

My flowers were all shaped with Embossing tools on my mat. I added gems into the centre of two of them and Stickles into the centre of my Baby's Breath flowers.

My card today has lots of Shabby layers on it using Craft Consortiums beautiful Wild Rose paper pad. I love this pad for making my flowers as they look so pretty with all the shades.

I used strips of my Japanese Lace Garden Frame to add a lace border on my layers. My butterflies have tiny flowers added into the centres of them.

My Chrysanthemum's have been off set at different angles and some added in bud form for a natural look. My Sweet Christine I have used 4 layers to build them up adding Gems into their centres, also adding a mix of different leaves.

My sentiment was stamped with Archival ink and layered onto my tattered Die Cut layers with foam strips for extra dimension, adding another couple of tiny flowers for more detail.

Faith Hope Love

Hi Everyone, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing a card with the elegant Die Cut sentiment Faith, Hope, Love which could be used on a variety of cards or alternatively on a Scrapbook Layout possibly with Wedding photographs.

I started by cutting out my Pierced Stacker Dies in Square and a Circle and embossed the edges with Silver Embossing powder, using Maja Design papers.

I matted and layered my centrepiece with foam tape between the layers to add dimension to my card and added a contrasting blue square of Cardstock behind my Doily to help it 'pop' gluing my sentiment onto the circle.

Using my Flourish #3 Die I cut this out in 2 shades of green card and arranged elements of this Die onto my card.

Layering an arrangement of flowers with Pearl centres onto my card.

Finishing off with a pretty butterfly.

Sister Celebration

Hi to all my crafty friends, today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing a shabby chic style card using many of the beautiful floral and lace style dies.

My card measures 8x5 Inches and I started by adding a patterned layer of paper to my card which I added Frantage, distressed at the edges and added some ink. I also added a couple of corner accents and my double layered inked butterfly.

My next couple of layers were torn across the page and my small doily and leaves inserted behind. These layers were added with foam strips for extra dimension.

My main image was mounted onto my frame with foam strips. I added Frantage, my word Sister and a Flower into the girl's hair for extra detail.

My flourish was cut down and all the parts placed in at different angles. Adding my flowers and extra leaves finishing with accents of Pearls.

Someone Special

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by to see my scheduled DT post for Cheery Lynn Designs. Today I am sharing a shabby chic style card with you all, which measures approx 8" x 5".

I added Frantage to my layers of paper tattering at the edges and adding some stitching for extra detail.  I accented my doilies between my layers and added my border strip. I just adore the lacey look of Cheery Lynn Dies.

My cute Whimsical Bird I popped a little silicone glue behind his wing and double layered with a coordinating paper. Finishing with black liquid pearl in his eye.

Then onto the fun bit of arranging my flowers on my card. You will notice I have Flowersoft, Pearls and Stamens in the centres of my flowers for added detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and good luck to everyone entering the Current Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs.

North American Release - Cheery Lynn Designs Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, thanks for stopping by today and welcome to our latest blog hop at Cheery Lynn Designs. We are all excited to be sharing with you the latest North American Release of dies. There is 63 dies in this latest collection, where you can find every state and region of the U.S and Canada.

I am first on the blog hop roll, so please just click on Lisa's name at the end of my post to continue hopping.

I decided to make a home decor item as inspiration with my dies of choice Texas, Maine and California. So let me show you how I made this.

I started off by cutting a piece of Greyboard to approx 12 x 4. Next I cut coffee stirrer sticks in half and trimmed the angled end off them. I glued in place across my greyboard and weighed it down until dry. I gave this board a whitewash of paint and a layer of DecoArt varnish to seal.

You will see on this photo I glued two papers together onto white cardstock to resemble the American flag and placed my dies on to cut out.

My lady was cut out from the Maine die using Tim Holtz Family pack. All my State Letters, Stars and Explore were heat embossed with Red Tinsel embossing powder for an added sparkle.

My Red Roses are to represent the national flower of the United States, adding some leaves and Baby's Breath for added detail.

I added some metal screw brads to the corners.

These dies are fantastic for scrapbooking, memorabilia projects, cards, home decor and lots more. You will see lots of inspiration from my fellow Teamies as you visit their blogs.

Another look at my finished project.

I'd love if you leave a comment to let me know you stopped by on our BLOG HOP and be sure to head over to LISA'S blog next.

Once you have finished hopping be sure to leave a comment at Cheery Lynn Designs to be in with a chance to win a $20 prize for one random commenter.

Have fun and Happy Crafting,

Fathers Day Card

Hi Everyone, a week on Sunday marks the Celebration of Fathers Day in both the UK and USA, so I thought it would be nice to share my DT card for Cheery Lynn Designs this week. My Dad loves being out in his garden and his cat is not usually far away from him, so I decided to create this little scene on my card.

I started off by using the Brick Embossing Plate and some Beige card stock. Once embossed I dry brushed Gesso onto my bricks to highlight them.

Next mounting onto Green Cardstock and stitching around the edges for detail.

My garden fence was shaded with a little Distress ink to shabby it up and a couple of layers of grass added.

My watering can I added a little gilding wax to highlight it. My flowers, leaves and dragonfly were shaded with Copics.

My sunflower was shaded also with Copics and I made the word Dad from my words Day and And as I have still to get the Cheery Lynn die - Dad.

Thanks for stopping by today and for the lovely comments you leave, I love to read them all. See you all soon.

Spring Bouquet for Mum

Hi Everyone, spring has definitely sprung here in Scotland and this weekend we also celebrate Mothering Sunday. So I decided with all this in mind to make a Mother's Day Card for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs.

I started by layering up paper which was distressed at the edges and the Mini Italian Flourish was cut out in white card and inked with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink.

I then layered on the co-ordinating Italian Flourish Doily which I had folded in to a concertina and opened back up to give texture, it had also been inked in the same way. You will see I used the Trellis Die for the stems of my flowers.

I Love these Bows, a perfect accompaniment to a bouquet of flowers.

I got carried away and forgot to take some more ongoing pictures, so here are the close ups. Notice I have some closed buds as well as flowers about to open to add a realistic look to the flowers.

My Baby's Breath Flowers and Tiny Flower Kit I added a little stickles to their centres.

A couple of angled shots to give you an idea of the depth of the card.

The finished card once again.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to make a Floral Bouquet for your precious Mum.
